Moved to number 3 on both lists... scary thing is the time line. I am READY to travel now. At a drop of a hat I can go any time between now and August --except 5 days in June when I supposed to go to Thespians in Nebraska. Other than that my calendar is clear... however... the part of the process I didn't understand fully is this. Once I have a referral--that amazing email with a photo of a face--and I say YES this is my child, then I have to wait to be assigned a court date in Ethiopia. This can take 4 to 8 weeks. Once that happens then I travel 1 to 2 months AFTER the assigned court date. The scary scary part comes because the Ethiopian courts shut down for the months of August and September due to the rainy season. That is plopping me directly into this weird zone. If I don't get a referral until mid-July, then I won't be going there until late fall. Possibly as long as Dec/Jan. I'm a little bummed out because I have been planning/hoping/dreaming that it would happen this summer-- some where in there. But this summer. Now I am looking for Christmas present time again....
